What is Chiropractic

Curious about chiropractic care? At 360 Health in Remuera, Auckland, our focus is on the movement of your spine, your musculoskeletal and nervous systems, the foundation of movement and well-being.

Chiropractic addresses not only joint issues but muscular and nerve issues as well. Ever had a massage or stretched and noticed your muscles just tighten straight back up? This is often due to the underlying issue of the movement that joint connects to, chiropractic is great at correcting the underlying problem to help provide relief to the symptom which you feel.

Here's how chiropractic care can help:

Improved Movement:
Gentle adjustments enhance flexibility and range of motion, reducing stiffness and pain.

Muscle Balance: Chiropractic care addresses muscle tension and postural imbalances, promoting better coordination and function.

Enhanced Nervous System Function: By improving spinal alignment, chiropractic care can optimize communication throughout your body. The result? Chiropractic care can lead to better overall health, with many patients experiencing increased flexibility, reduced pain, and improved energy levels.

What to Expect

Initial Consultation

At this visit our chiro will take a thorough health history and then do a full examination on your spine, other joints in the body and all the surrounding muscles. If you require any imaging like X-rays or ultrasound we will also refer you for these (no need to see a GP first).

This extensive examination is to ensure chiropractic care is safe and effective for you.

After the tests, you will receive your first treatment (or adjustment as we call it) on this first visit.

Report Of Findings (second visit)

At your second visit we will provide you with a treatment plan to help with your specific issue, including giving detailed advice on any lifestyle changes that will aid your recovery. We also spend time discussing what chiropractic is so you understand exactly what will happen within your body during the healing process.

Regular Visit

During a regular visit, we check to see how your spine and muscles are adapting and changing. No visit is the same, we utilise different techniques including manual adjusting, muscle release work or low force adjusting to bring your body back into balance each time. If new issues have arisen within your body we will spend extra time formulating a management plan for this.

Maintenance Visits

Once the initial phase of care is complete and you are feeling and moving better, we recommend maintenance visits. If you are a desk worker, athlete or just a busy person, these visits ensure your body stays in balance and keeps you moving and working pain free. These visits usually range from fortnightly to bi-monthly, depending on your needs.
